The Western Canada Group of Chartered Engineers provides assistance to the Vancouver Branch of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia, in the implementation of its mentoring program which brings together experienced senior engineers and technically current engineers-in-training for a mutually advantageous exchange of ideas.

Chartered Engineers wishing to act as mentors need only commit to 2 hours of their time every four to six weeks. They will be matched with proteges and their employers to create a 'training triangle', intended to streamline the transition period required by the Association's Registration Committee as a prerequisite to full registration as a BC Professional Engineer.
